the Painted Cliffs and beyond to Encampment Cove at Chinaman’s Bay, Fossil Bay, the Fossil Cliffs, Mt Bishop & Clerk and following the dramatic East Coast observing spring-fed waterfalls, sea caves, majestic mountain range (all visual evidence of a timeline of millions of years). Then you step ashore.

The Mercury Passage provides a panorama of beautiful seascapes and wildlife.

The 1800’s township of Darlington is a time capsule of Tasmanian heritage. Step back in time and walk through the buildings in the World Heritage Probation Station. Go further afield on one of the many walks to discover some of Maria’s treasures. Meet the local wildlife up close in the sanctuary provided by the Island.

Your cruise Captain provides an interactive narrative including the fascinating and varied history of the Island, local tales, unique scenic features and marine wildlife.

 

 

Sit inside the comfortable cabin or up onto the Dolphin deck, which ensures maximum viewing of Dolphins, Seals, Whales and Sea Birds.

 

Choose either a Half or Full day trip exploring the Island.

You can return to Triabunna straight after the cruise or stay on until the end of the day to explore the Island.

Note there are no shops on Maria Island.

Lunches can be prepared for you if you wish to enjoy a picnic when you disembark at Darlington.

Enquire when you book as orders need to be given at least 24 hours prior to sailing day.

Or bring your own packed lunch/drinks or BBQ food – there is a BBQ shelter with facilities in the camping ground in Darlington available for your use (free of charge).
