Maria Island Ferry & Eco Cruises operates from the seaside town of Triabunna, on the east coast of Tasmania.

Maria Island Location

Maria Island is situated on the eastern coast of Tasmania, aproximately 90 minutes drive north east of Hobart. Access to the Island is provided via the Maria Island Ferry operated by Maria Island Ferry and Eco Cruises. The ferry operates from the seaside town of Triabunna to the historic townsite of Darlington on Maria Island. The 40 minute ferry trip to crosses the Mercury Passage, a picturesque waterway often frequented by dolphins, penguins, seals and whales.

 

Maria Island shares the same ancient and beautiful coastline as the Bay of Fires and the Friendly Beaches, Wineglass Bay on Freycinet Peninsula and Port Arthur on Tasman Peninsula.
